The minerals I collect are chosen one at a time, guided less by rarity or perfection than by whatever sparks something in me: pattern, colour, shape, texture, and the strange little details that make one piece unlike another.

These are the families that turn up most often in the tray. What each one looks like, how it forms, and what it has long been associated with.
