Raw specimens, points, clusters and carvings, from gothic to goofy, are chosen one piece at a time. Agates, jades, jaspers and quartz are among the stones I tend to seek out. Each one holds its own patterns, weight and presence, shaped by the earth long before it found its way into my hands.
Nothing here arrives by the boxful. Pieces come home one at a time, usually because a pattern or a broken edge would not let me put them down. Some are polished smooth, some are exactly as they came out of the ground, and both earn the same shelf.
